Nikon F5 For Sale

Friday, June 25th, 2010

Hey there, been crazy busy but I just thought I’d post this up very quickly since I’m trying to sell the camera and because I halfway made an effort for product shots, haha.  I’m selling my Nikon F5 on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160448474871&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_3079wt_1139 but I’m also open to offers!  All the details are on the link.  If you’re interested and have any questions, feel free to email me at ooti at ootibilleaud dot com (<– I typed it like that to avoid spam but just type it regularly if you email me!) or call/text me at 337.277.5369.  Thanks for reading.

Surprise

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Most people don’t know this but I do shoot other things besides people.  I never post any of my architectural work for pretty much no good reason and so I thought I’d share some work I did for J.B. Mouton recently.  Here are a few of their newly completed projects.

Genevieve - Day 2

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

To get a little run down on Genevieve, read the post before this one if you haven’t already.  So on day two, we played in the sprinkler and the kiddie pool, jumped on the trampoline, ate popsicles, and got snowcones.  Needless to say, no nap was had that afternoon with the large amount of sugar the children ingested.  It was an excellent day and it felt like traveling back in time to when I was a kid and got to do all the same fun stuff.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.  Thanks for reading!

Genevieve - Day 1

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

I recently had the opportunity to cover two days in the life of Genevieve who is a mother of three and the creative director at Blue Cross as part of a photojournalistic assignment.  I had worked with her previously a good bit and became friends so we were more comfortable with each other which made the shoot even more rewarding.  Genevieve recently won the ADDY award on the national level and like it says on their website, “With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY® Awards are the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. (http://www.aaf.org/default.asp?id=27)”.  It’s always a treat to work with super talented people.  Here are some of my favorites from Day 1.  Thanks for reading!

Benji Kirsch

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

My friend Benji and I went on a LATE night ride recently and as we were passing by a public park, I noticed that it was super foggy and I thought it made the light look interesting so we swung by my office, grabbed a camera and a lens, and took some pictures.  What do YOU think?

Product Shots

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I built a mini-studio to do product shots and tested it out with my RayBans.  I edited them really quickly but I like how they came out.  Let me know what you think in the comments!

RedBullxSaints

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I recently did some event coverage for Red Bull in New Orleans during the Saints vs. Vikings game.  I had so much fun and the trip pretty much made me want to move to New Orleans.  Let me know what you think in the comments.  Thanks!

neworleans-2-2neworleans-1 neworleans-2neworleans-1-2The above images were shot while Red Bull was hosting a party at Club NV.  They had a crew there rapping and dancing and they basically started a mini block party.  It was awesome.neworleans-3-2neworleans-3 neworleans-4Even though Red Bull didn’t go there, they had me go to Razzoo’s to take some pictures there during the 1st quarter.  It was so crowded I could barely walk but here are a few shots from there.  Alright, well the guy with “Who Dat?” shaved into his head was at Club NV but come on, I had to post it!neworleans-9neworleans-5-2neworleans-4-2neworleans-5 neworleans-6neworleans-6-2neworleans-7neworleans-8

The last stop for the night was Lucy’s and Red Bull had another DJ and started another block party there.  All of the above pictures from Lucy’s were taken after the Saints beat the Vikings and everyone was going nuts.  People were dancing on vehicles, head butting each other, humping signs, dancing in the street, etc.  They had a brass band playing after the game that Red Bull had hired.  By the way everyone was acting, you would’ve thought the Saints had already won the Super bowl.

Road Trip Pt. 5

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Boy, I really have been slacking on updating my blog lately so I apologize to everyone who keeps up regularly.  Between the Saints winning the superbowl (WHO DAT!?), Mardi Gras, boring business stuff, and getting really sick twice in the past two months (not to mention hurting my knee running), I’ve been having trouble keeping up but I promise to make a sincere effort to update my blog more frequently.

To the blog entry itself, this is the final update of my road trip photos from across the country.  This was from our stay in San Francisco.  I love the shot of Viki by the Christmas tree.  I hope you enjoyed the pictures.  I’ll be posting more non-personal work soon after this.

Road Trip Pt. 4

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

The second to last part of my trip.  I’m not much of an animal photographer but I do make exceptions from time to time…

1This was a couple of miles north of Venice Beach.  Street hockey is awesome!
1-3These things were so cool even though they just laid there.

1-42-21These little guys were awesome.  And hungry.
3And not shy.
2Mom was throwing sand while the pup was trying to get some grub!
4This was on the pacific one highway.  We were about halfway to San Francisco right here.  I just had to take a picture of the irony.
1-2Before I left for San Francisco, I stayed with my two friends Raychel and Carmine in L.A. for a couple of days.  Raychel cooked an awesome dinner that night.
