An old monitor and a scan of an ultrasound later…

Thanks for stopping by.

I needed to shoot some detail shots of Tyler’s tattoos (posting soon!) for his tattoo artist and I figured I’d do some portraits while I was at it.

Corey cut off all his hair and so I snapped a few shots. That was a nice day.

I hear this guy has a sweet bike.

An old friend (who also happens to be a photographer) was in town in July and I wanted to play with my new octabox so he kindly modeled for me (I made him) and here are the results. We only shot for a few minutes because of the heat/humidity/mosquitoes but I like the colors and the texture of the fences in the background. By the way, I just wanted to mention that Cory came up with these pensive, thought provoking poses all on his own. :)

Both of my grandmothers were at my father’s house this past May after my college graduation and I realized as they were on their way out that it would be a good opportunity to snap a couple of pictures of the both of them since they were both dressed up for the occasion. Even though I only had a few minutes with each of them, I feel like the images I walked away with were screaming representations of each of their personalities. It may not be obvious to a stranger or maybe even another family member but I think that each portrait captures the essence of both of them. Fun Fact: the grandmother in the white shirt had 17 children (yes, I have lots of aunts and uncles).

While my girlfriend and I were visiting her parents in Dallas this past May, we had a little photo shoot which consisted of us, a tripod, and the timer on the camera. It was a bit harder than I had imagined but I’m happy with how everything came out. Just for the record, I’m not crazy about having pictures of myself on here but I thought since it wasn’t just me, it was okay. Thanks for reading!

Even though she was cute and awfully photogenic, Audrey was a bit of a challenge but thanks to her nanny who she found to be very funny, we got some great images. Here are a few of the ones Audrey’s mother picked out. As a side note, something tells me that all of the women reading this are going to find this post particularly cute.
Fun Fact: I unintentionally shot this entire shoot on a 50mm lens. I don’t know if that’s good or bad but I just felt like that was what every situation and how I wanted to shoot it called for.

Here is a shot from Rikki’s bridals and a shot from Rikki and Brandon’s engagements. I really like the colors in both of these. By the way, I’ll be out of town for a week so there won’t be any posts and if you send me an email, I’ll get back to you around the 17th or 18th when I’m back in the office. Thanks!
